DeltaMaster from Bissantz & Company performed extremely well in the BI Survey 18, with 96 percent of DeltaMaster users saying they would recommend the product. About the BI Survey
The manufacturer-independent user survey “The BI Survey” is considered to be the most important in the global business intelligence (BI) market. It is conducted annually by the Würzburg-based analyst and consulting firm BARC. For improved comparability, BARC divides the BI market into functional or regional “peer groups”. DeltaMaster is allocated to four of these peer groups: the functional peer groups for Integrated performance management products, OLAP analysis-focused products, and Self-service reporting-focused products and the regional peer group for EMEA-focused vendors. As different as these groups are in terms of their definitions, there are some remarkable similarities that confirm DeltaMaster as one of the leading products.
DeltaMaster’s lead was particularly pronounced in the “Visual Design Standards” category, where it was ranked first across all peer groups – just as in the previous year. Users appreciate the clear, uniform presentation of KPIs for which DeltaMaster is known and its careful handling of graphical elements. The analysts from BARC also consider DeltaMaster’s visualization to be groundbreaking: DeltaMaster has received top placings in this area of the BI Survey for the past five years. Michael Nordhausen, Head of Sales at Bissantz: “The graphic coding of figures in diagrams is methodically unreliable and a diversion for the brain. This is why we systematically apply Graphical Tables, which can be used by even inexperienced or occasional users without extensive training or consulting. DeltaMaster’s automated report generation is consistent and has established itself with our customers.”
DeltaMaster also achieved two first places in the Business Benefits category. In this category, users assess the benefit provided to their company by the software, e.g. in the form of better decisions, quicker reporting, or improved data quality, which can ultimately help to increase revenue or cut costs.
Bissantz also achieved extremely good placings across the board with regard to cooperation with customers in solution operation and in projects. Bissantz was rated as a leader across all peer groups in the categories of Vendor Support, Project Success, and Implementer Support. This means users appreciate the services provided by Bissantz consultants, the support team, and partners. Irene Schröder, Head of Partner Management at Bissantz, is delighted to have been recognized in this way: “We can count on our partners! Their industry and application expertise helps them to implement BI solutions with DeltaMaster that satisfy their customers’ exacting standards. In recent years, we have enhanced our partner network and partner program and intensified relationships. The excellent results achieved in the BI Survey show that this is being well received by customers.”
Bissantz was also ranked first or as a leader across all peer groups in the Innovation category. The analysts from BARC established that sustained innovative strength is one of the most frequently cited reasons for choosing Bissantz. Bissantz invests in its own fundamental research and maintains excellent relationships with leading scientists and research institutions – a commitment that is rewarded by the market.
High customer satisfaction
All in all, the many positive user experiences with DeltaMaster, Bissantz, and Bissantz partners resulted in an extremely high recommendation rate: 96 percent of users would recommend DeltaMaster to other companies.
The user opinions recorded in the BI Survey also reflect this high level of satisfaction. As a head of department from the financial sector puts it: “Our experiences of the software and consulting have been consistently positive.” Meanwhile, the CEO of a retail company describes DeltaMaster as “quick, target-oriented, and user-friendly software that makes evaluations easily accessible even to those for whom figures don’t come naturally.” And for a BI officer from the logistics industry, DeltaMaster is quite simply “a brilliant analysis tool that I can no longer imagine my company doing without.”
The BI Survey 18 is based on the results of the world’s largest and most extensive survey of business intelligence users. The survey was conducted from February to June 2018. It had a total of 3,045 participants, of whom 2,569 answered a series of detailed questions on the use of a certain product. 36 products (or product groups) were investigated in detail. The BI Survey 18 analyzes the selection and use of BI products based on 30 different criteria, including business benefits, project success, competitiveness, recommendation, innovation, performance, customer satisfaction, and customer experience. Further information can be found on the BI Survey website.
