DeltaMaster 5.3.5
For reports that do report something
With every release, we extend the functionality of our software so that our customers have a more and more powerful suite at their disposal as part of their update, support and maintenance contract. The experiences and knowledge we gain in customer projects are particularly important to us, and are quickly incorporated into new versions.
What's New
If you already use DeltaMaster, you'll know you can always look up the features that are new to any particular version on the What's New page in DeltaMaster. The keyword style overview provides a summary of the most significant changes. For all our customers who want to know more detail, we provide a newsletter for this purpose. Write us, if you would like to be sent the newsletter automatically.
Standardization in management reporting
In a workshop series with Dr. Rolf Hichert, we present concepts for creating reports that truely report something and that are understandable for the reader. An important approach is: Graphical elements should be used in a unified way - if things look the same, they should mean the same; if they look different, they should mean something different. The new release comprises a notation which adds business meanings to the visualizations in Graphical Tables. Actual and budget figures, absolute and relative variances can now be identified at first sight. Consistently. And without extra effort for the report publishers. Templates for formatting and scaling measures and dimension members are another comfort function for quickly establishing uniformity in reports.
New features for the Web
The DeltaMaster WebOption now supports entering and changing values, so you can easily set up distributed, web-based planning and budgeting applications. Kerberos authentication allows for Single-Sign-On (SSO). Even while you update your Web applications, the logged-in users can now continue to work without interruption.
Analytical diagrams
For visualizing statistical distributions you can now use box-and-whisker diagrams (aka box plots). They depict, for example, the revenue spread, whether there are more big customers than small ones, how the distribution changed over time etc.
