Bissantz & Company is a software enterprise specializing in solutions for demanding data analysis tasks in the field of management economics. We are the developers of widely-praised and multiple award-winning products and analysis technology, which we market under our own name and as OEM solutions.

University Background

The company was founded in 1996 as a technology spin-off from a research group at the FORWISS Institute led by Information Systems specialist Prof. Peter Mertens. The company's two managing partners, Dr. Nicolas Bissantz and Michael Westphal, developed basics for the automation of data analysis at FORWISS between 1993 and 1996 and were able to demonstrate the suitability of data mining methods for business controlling in their BETREX II project.
